Kong Lan, or more commonly known as Pai Canyon, is a popular spot to end a day trip by watching the sunset in Pai. It is easily accessible, located just 7.7 kilometers from Pai town, along Highway 1095 (Mae Malai - Pai road). The stunning views and unique landscape make it a must-visit destination for travelers in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pai Canyon Location<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pai Canyon (Pai Canyon) or Kong Lan, actually Located in the area of \u200b\u200bBan Rong Yaeng, Tung Yao Subdistrict, Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province.<\/strong> Originally there were two ways up: The way up to Ban Sop Pham<\/strong> Located in the Forestry Department area, this route can still be used today, but it is not popular. The main route is: The entrance to Rong Yaeng Village<\/strong> The entrance is located along the road, with a pathway leading up to a parking area and various souvenir shops, providing convenience for visitors. It is recommended to wear active clothes. For those who like to climb, I recommend this. The entrance to the deepest point of Kong Lan is a viewpoint where nothing will block the view. However, you have to be very careful along the way. It is definitely not recommended for those who are afraid of heights. For those who are afraid of heights, I recommend you to reserve a spot at the beginning. It is very beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History and beliefs of \u201cKong Lan\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kong Lan is the name that people in Pai District call it. \u201cKong\u201d<\/strong> It means road and \u201cLan\u201d means monitor lizard because even though there are no people walking on the path, it is clean and not like there are monitor lizard marks or it is used as a path, so it is like a footpath that is always clear. According to another belief of people in Pai District, it is like a walkway or a market for ghosts and spirits to travel on, making the path clear like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
