Free online course: Basic Sign Language EP.2 from Chiang Mai University
Chiang Mai University (CMU), in collaboration with the Student Development Division, has launched a new online course, "Introduction to Sign Language Level EP.2" to build on communication skills from the first lesson, enabling you to have deeper and more enjoyable conversations about the world around you.
What will you learn in this EP.2?
The content in this sequel is designed to be “practical in everyday life,” focusing on common vocabulary, clearly divided into categories, and easy to understand even when learning on your own. These include:
- Food Category: Vocabulary about food menus, vegetables, and fruits (foodies must know!)
- Place Category: Naming Places, Vehicles, and Travel
- Animal Category: Animal Vocabulary
- Occupations & Sports Category: Vocabulary for various occupations and sports.

- 100% Free Study: No cost for the entire course through the CMU MOOC system.
- Learn online anywhere: in video format (VDO Learning), you can arrange your own study time as convenient.
- Receive a certificate (E-Certificate): Simply complete the course and pass the post-course test with a score of 70%. You can download the certificate from the system immediately.

- Find a course: Type “ Sign Language” or “Sign Language” in the website search box or look for the cover image of the course “Basic Sign Language Course EP.2”.
- Sign up / Login:
- For general public: Click the Register button and fill in personal information to create a student account.
- For CMU students/staff: You can use your CMU Account to log in immediately.
- Click "Enroll and Start Learning": Once you're on the course page, click the "Enroll" button. The system will take you to the online classroom. You can click to watch the video clip to start learning immediately (free of charge).
